Languish: bye bye elves with 4 toughness or lower
Planar Outburst: gg all elves.
As you can see control/board wipe is your friend against them. That said, I am not changing the fact that they are powerful, of course they are. But the elf cards we have here so far, compared with previous editions are just... ridiculous: they are decent to make a solid elf deck but we are lacking too too many powerful elf cards. So you should feel lucky :P
