How to kill indestructible Gideon, Ally of Zendikar

Hello fellow Cardfloppers,
I just encountered something strange.

My opponent had Gideon, Ally of Zendikar in play (among some other creatures)
He used it's first ability to turn Gideon into a 5/5 creature

---that is INDESTRUCTIBLE and all damage would be prevented---

I decided to block it with a "Plated crusher" 7/6 trample, hexproof.

What happened next, hit my opponent and myself out of nowhere, my opponent left rafterwards.

Gideon, Ally of Zendikar DIED. Oó

Say what? Yup.

Nothing else was played, no removal, nothing.

Can someone confirm this bug (it is one, obviously)?

All i can say is sorry to my opponent (you know who you are).

Lol... xD. The why you describe it...looks like a bug indeed as I am certain you only pwn Gideon Ally of Zendikar by:

- Exiles
- Ulamog casting effect
- Milled down to graveyard
- Ingested to exile zone
- If the opponent decides to discard it from hand.
- Counters

So yeah probably a bug. Great...first Murasa and now Gideon xD...

Not even some effect giving -x/-x or something perhaps :P? Lol next time I am throwing a reprisal to gideon xD "the indestructible" Ahem! Ahem xDD...

Also if controller sacrifices him, either voluntarily or forced to by a spell or effect eg: Celestial flare.

reduction also kills gideon and anythin indestructible.

yeah all you need to do is cast 2xLanguish on your opponent's turn

The key word is Sacrifice.
Controll and Sacrifice or forced an oponent.

As its a sorcery.... good luck with that one.

The game does glitch with some cards. Sometimes the cards work fine other times they don't. it will piss you off for that game and prob for the next 10 minutes after.

I think of it this way: If i know i would of won the game if the glitch didnt happen then i dont worry to much about it.

The game likes to troll you and everyone else.

I've had the satisfaction (just once, against the AI) of stealing Gideon with a Willbreaker and something that targeted him (Rogue's Passage, revenge of the Perilous Myr, whatever). He remained under my control even when he stopped being a creature.
