1) There are hackers. Proof has been provided(I've provided some at times)
2) Valve is responsible for this, or Steam itself. They need to ban cheaters. First warning, they lose game for a month, then 6 months for second offense, then permanent for third time.
3) I've playtested all games in this series more than anyone(yes, I'm disabled and have no life) and know for a fact: Having red in your deck increases your chances of going first.
4) Red and blue decks have a hard time with their mana. Izzet, as it is known, has a far bigger problem with mana screw or flood than any other combination.
5) Reporting a hacker to Wizards_Chris is like reporting to Ronald McDonald when you have a bad cheeseburger. He tries, don't get me wrong, but the powers that be do not listen.
6) One way they're hacking is the trainer hacks. However, these do not affect opponents. They just give cheaters a quicker way to get all the cards without spending any time or money.
7) One hack that does affect us is called "laggsta". This can make your opponents lag, thus missing key timing. It's more prevalent in Multiplayer fighting games, but you can find it throughout all types. http://laggsta.com/ See for yourself
8) Another hack allows the player to grab any card in his deck via the next draw. Seen the killer 100 card decks that seem to pull miracle after miracle? This is the reason. I do larger than normal decks myself and know anything above 70 is too shaky to manage, much less draw miracles repeatedly. They have the larger deck so they have more options to draw from when using the hack, thus more answers to other players decks.
9) There is another hack that allows players to go first more often. Just look at a "non hacker" player's logs valve/Steam. Mine would be around 20% of the time going first. However, knowing this, I design my decks around this, so it actually benefits me, but would not benefit a new player at all. Also, I do tend to go first if I include red in my decks more often.
10) There are a lot of hacker apologists in the forums. Some must be hackers themselves and are covering up while others just like to argue.
11) Magic Duels isn't the only game infested with hackers. They are everywhere. I'd bet there are a ton that would cheat at "Multiplayer Tetris" if it existed. Heck, I bet a ton would cheat in one of those learning games for kids if it was multi, lol.
12) Most hackers DO NOT SEE WHAT THEY"RE DOING IS MORALLY WRONG OR WRONG AT ALL. Why? Easter eggs, cheat codes, etc. They exist all over and players use them all the time. They do not see you, a real live person, as anything but another AI. That way they don't notice they're cheating other people.
13) Hackers tend to "come out of the dark" at Midnight to 5AM CST most times.
14) Companies who come out against hackers tend to get a devoted fanbase. Hardcore fans. WoW does this and people feel protected and safe when playing. Why would they switch to another game that doesn't offer that protection? Hackers don't stop at just a few, they'll also see opportunities for identity theft.
15) Hackings are the main cause for many of the problems with this or any game. The game where you disconnected for no reason? Probably someone was hacking and not even in your game. The game where it skipped yours or your opponents turn completely? Probably a hacker somewhere.
16) as far as I know, there are no "hacker prevention" programs that are made for individual players. Most are for large companies. If someone invented one for every person, he'd be rich selling it.
Hey thanks for you input, much appreciated!
Regarding 7 - Two times i skipped a full turn (!) although i was alwayss ahead at that time, seems there might be a stronger version than laggsta.com
8 - Oh i see, that explains the game against that mono-white deck - the possibility that the same player topdecks me two times in a row with an aggo-deck is really unlikely
9 - Theres a hack regarding starting order? Then that explains all my topics in the past regarding this matter
Played against the hacker 1hcbwc yesterday with his 100 card deck (and his famous mana hack), seems like empty words again ... dunno why they dont cooperate with Steam regarding this matter, if they cant get him banned from the game
Most know that the security in this game has been broken and given my own observations of how lax most areas of its development have been since launch, I'm not prepared to assume any limits as to how broken it is, but this point (8) particularly interests me.
I've taken (admittedly) little more than a cursory browse of the net, as a means to try and determine whether it's too broken to be playable but have yet to certifiably locate any proof that this hack is possible, if it is, then I would assume that it is indeed too broken to be playable and would probably end up demanding a refund.
Having read a few reports now of impossible draw orders in this game from other players, I'm curious to know whether your statement has been made from personal observation(which there's nothing wrong with BTW, it's through combined observation, taken from different perspectives that such things can be considered to be proven beyond reasonable doubt), or whether the hack in question has been published, if it has, then please don't link to it here, just a simple clarification would suffice.
I'd like to pull this game to pieces to be honest, but I don't have the time.
I just don't do things for the community anymore. Only my friends.
I'm not going to go to these sites again and have to clean my computer for a week to post links, but if you're keen on this, look into the pirate sites, not the scammer sites posting "We have a hack!". When you do this search, on any search engine mind you, start at page 10. All the crap our search engines post until at least then are advertisements for sheer junk sites and ones that advertisers pay them to put up there regardless.
Oh...and look for places where naysayers in this thread have posted on other sites...they'll give you a bright trail to follow. Just do a search for their names.
To better back your evidence that you do find and gather, also pay close attention to other multiplayer games, especially the popular ones. Just type in World of Warcraft and Hackers for instance, and you'll see what I mean. These other popular multiplayer games have far more hackers and cheats than we do, BUT it can open your eyes to just where they get these hacks.
Also, don't let the hacker apologists get you down (or for that matter those prepared to defend this game, no matter how badly Wizards insist on having it built). Hacking a game to cheat in competition; casual competition no less, goes low enough, but apologizing for those who do it, is really depraved.
While you're doing this, don't confuse modding with hacking/cheating. Modders are a different breed altogether and do what they do mostly out of love for the game and wanting to make the game stay active.
On the link I'll provide after this, there is a modding site that took over the 1995 Microprose Magic the Gathering game. It's public access anyways so no harm, no foul. They've improved it's graphics and constantly add.....every single solitary card ever made, to the game. I kid you not. My problem with it is I go in that game and it's like a kid in a candy store...I start making a deck and have over the amount of cards before I even get to the "B's" as it is in alphabetical order, lol.

Oh, they also let you download decks others have created for your own use or to play against...watch out for any deck with the term "Beatdown" in it,lol.
1chbhw or something. You guys know the one. Chooses any amount for X casting spells, kills you with burns, animist awakening entire deck, blah blah
I report them and go on with my playing. Here's another fact for you...most of them plain suck at the game. I've even beaten them while they've been hacking...
1. Long pauses between turns. Usually around turn 4 or 5. Then suddenly a miracle play.
2. Pulling miracle after miracle out of their rears...
A. It's easy to detect by rares and mythics. They all use them so it's easy to spot. If a player is constantly pulling both rares and the mythics early and timed just right..often even just top decking...you've got a hacker. You'll even see all 3 uncommons come up every single time. Had one last night that basically did everything I've said so far...everything. Won't see him/her anymore as they used a clever name but one easy to find.
B. You've got them on the ropes regardless(I did say they suck at playing) of their hacking. Only one card can save the day and they're top decking. That card will come up every single time they're backed into a corner. Obvious as anything...
3. VS an aggro deck, you'll see removal after removal. You'll note "Hey, I never draw this good....EVER!" If you manage to really get some creatures on the board, they'll top deck a field wipe every single time.
4. If you're playing someone with a deck above 70 cards(like I've said, that's when they get shaky) and they're drawing a god hand, every single time.
Miracles and god hands do happen. But they're extremely rare, no matter how tight your build. I've gotten hands that have been amazing, but I've played so much my time is often due. However, a hacker gets them every single game.
How to beat a hacker:
1. use cards with more than one function. Often a hacker won't even know one of them at least.
2. Play defensively. Control decks do this of course. Wait for your moments.
3. Instants and flash cards can blow their whole way of thinking. Wish they would fix the *)U&Y&&& Hold priority...different issue
4. Draw spells and spells that "thin the deck' such as ramp can give you an edge as well.
5. Scrying helps
The key element is they are lazy. Obviously lazy. Why else would they use a hack? Therefore their card knowledge is limited.
