Can't win anymore
It's ridiculous,

For the first time since playing Duels i managed to collect a small amount of money (4500 G) to get a good start when Amonketh will be released.
But for several days I can't win a game anymore. It seems that they punish me for getting that much money without buying anything for real.

I can't even win against the AI anymore. I'm using the same decks that worked very well during this season but from now on I loose nearly every match. I played for two hours this morning winning one match against the AI loosing several against AI and real players.

Its not only the absurd land drawing (starting with few land you won't get any more for sure / starting with many you will get flooded ). Getting a decent number of lands is nearly impossible.

Has someone else experienced this strange behavior.I loose nearly 95% of all games now. It's driving me mad.My goal was to get to 6000 G getting half of the new set at start.

But even the AI is fu**ing me up every time.

I have 35k coins and sense no difference. You probably just had bad luck for the last few games. Or good luck for the games before.

nevermind luck. When you start losing and become frustrated, your decision-making becomes skewed.

In such instances, take a break from the game or otherwise "re-set" your brain.

Just a thought, if it's shekels you're after, get a friend for 2HG. With decent decks, one of you might be able to carry the game until you break the spell of bad luck.

And yeah, things like that happen, just yesterday my RDW that's rank 40 valid went teats up vs. hard AI TWICE in a row. The game's simply giving you a sign to switch decks or take a break.

Then you need to exploit the shenanigans the computer is pullling.

Try this for starters: a mono-green deck with Primal Bellow in it. A land-flood makes Primal Bellow STRONGER. Imagine it. You draw eight Forests in a row. Then out of nowhere you buff an unblocked attacker for eight, deliver a huge blow to the face, and win the game.

Tireless Tracker is another one. If you get land-flooded while he's on the board, your deck will go nuts. You'll have cards everywhere. You'll get past the land-flood twice as fast, and then you'll get the GOOD cards twice as fast.

You're on your own from there. :) Turn the computer against itself. Use its own cheat mechanisms against it. Adapt.

The same happened to me. Once you earn some coins, the fu$#% you up. The system is rigged. It wont let you win because is a business. Shame on them
My mono-blue deck I built since Origins still functions mostly the same. A few matches are harder, but it's still a fun deck that wins against the AI.

The thing is, the card pool has gotten bigger. We now have:

* Origins
* Battle for Zendikar
* Oath of the Gatewatch
* Shadows Over Innistrad
* Eldritch Moon
* Kaladesh
* AEther Revolt

...with Amonkhet coming out soon.

With a larger card pool, no matter what format you're playing, means decks get faster and more consistent. There's a wider variety of optimal choices to put in your deck.

For example, in Origins, white only had six 1-drop creatures to choose from, one of which was Legendary, the other a 2/1 that couldn't attack alone, one is a creature that does nothing but tap other creatures, a 1/1 flier, a vanilla 2/1, and the last one pumps an attacker.

Now, we have an additional four white creatures, which are the two Kor Allies, Toolcraft Exemplar, and Topplegeist. This means if your deck was using Bonded Construct, it can now replace it with something that's a better fit. Do this for the rest of your mana curve, where you use stronger choices (as opposed to what's just available), and viola, your deck is faster and more efficient.

Psssst, I'll let you in on a little secret:
If you immediately spend your coins on boosters you slip past (((their))) radar
unless of course this is made up conspiracy business, but I trust that you know what you're talking about
Oh, and you know what else is good business? Tinfoil hats, man, you spend good money on those, but you can actually buy a bar of chocolate and use the tinfoil wrapping. You get to protect yourself from mind readers AND have a good time, how awesome is that?
Against the AI, the hard mode one uses multicolor stuff that slows their play. So, play a fast agro deck and you can farm all day every day.

In vs... you'll have good weeks and bad weeks depending on what your deck is strong or week against.

You're hilarious. I rarely lose and I have enough gold to buy the 32 booster packs twice, and I'm still consistently winning. The system isn't rigged, you just suck.

I got 20k, i've played a lot recently but just for the pleasure of it, making 3 new decks among the 15 i'm alternely playing
The keys to win are:
First: don't get mana screwed or flooded.
Second : the matchup, if i play control and i face a RDW it is easy win but if i play a slower deck it will get tough to win.
Third: expect your opponent to have bad draws and no god hands.

Of course you need skills but you'll need more luck , a lot more.
