I do not know how to use, I just ran across it 4 times while doing a forum search for the -homedir launch option as a possible solution for this (now mildly annoying :)) issue. It came very well recommended.

Open the Steam client. Click Steam > Backup and Restore Games. In the new window, choose "Backup currently installed programs" and click "Next". Find "Spellcrafter" in the list of games, put a check in the box and click "Next". Choose a folder to store the backup. Click "Next". Once the backup completes, copy the folder to a USB flash drive or an optical disc.
Now put the disc/flash drive in your new computer and copy the folder over, doesn't matter where, but make it somewhere you can find it later. Steam folder or desktop would be a good choice. Open the Steam client. Click Steam > Backup and Restore Games. In the new window, choose "Restore a previous backup" and click "Next". Using the "Browse" button, find where you copied the backup earlier and select it. Click "Next". Let Steam do its work. Launch the game.
