help with playing game in full screen?!

I'm using Win 7, and I've gotten the game to play just fine -- controller support and everything. However, I can ONLY run it in the small window. Any time I set it up to be fullscreen, the game actually runs and seems to be playing just fine... except that I can't see a thing!

Does anyone know what's going on or how I might fix this?

The game runs in 640x480 when in full screen, so it's most likely that your monitor or TV doesn't support that resolution.

actually, I can set it to run in 640x480 mode in the compatibility settings! That was something I was thinking about doing anyway, since then at least the window would take the entire screen vertically. but yah -- that's very helpful, I'll give it a shot tonight. thanks a lot for the response, whether it works out or not.

Ok! I can conclusively say that did it! By editing the config file to have it run in full screen mode, then setting the compatibility settings of raiden3.exe to run in 640x480 resolution (a simple checkbox) that has solved my problem completely. It launches from Steam this way now and everything.

Thanks a million for that tidbit, as it totally solved my issue in the end!

How? wich editor?

if you "Browse local files" to find the actual raiden3.exe ... you right click on the exe file and select "Properties". Once the properties menu comes up, select the "Compatibility" tab, and then check off the little checkbox for "run in 640 x 480"
