TANE "Service Pack 1" update released January 12, 2016

This thread is a great place to ask questions and find answers regarding the latest update for TANE.

First up, there is some very important information regarding the update process:

• Download the update
  
• Launch TANE (Do not Start Trainz)
  
• Wait for engine startup (Do not Start Trainz)
  
• Allow database build to complete (Do not Start Trainz)
  
• Close TANE completely
  
• Restart TANE and now click Start Trainz :)

Following this process avoids seeing a wide expanse of "pink and green" and nothing else (this is due to an internal change of format in our content).

We will also be releasing brand new DLC items for TANE which require the latest version of TANE. Our stats show that many users have notupdated from the original version, so please ensure you go online and check for updates.

I had to opted out of the last beta for it to download. Everything looks good to go as well. Nice job!

I have got a big problem here. I bought the deluxe edition and after the update alot of the route update for season town wouldnt install and had missing items. I ran about 3 rebuild database checks and still couldnt get the routes to update.

Oh and I was using the SP1 beta if that makes a difference

So

I uninstalled TANE completely and removed everything from the user folder.
I reinstalled TANE and it showed 30346
input my username and password for my trainz.
waited for the database to build.
Shutdown TANE and waited to it to dissapear from my task manager.
restarted TANE and downloaded the deluxe payware route updates - (no errors)
Shut down TANE completely.
Restarted TANE
Many many rollingstock and parts of Avery and Seasontown missing dependencies that say unknown asset.
Started trainz and downloaded on the files for seasontown 1 and 2 and downloaded and installed again.
No luck, mcuh of it is still showing as unknown asset.

Any help would be appreciated.
Oh I have windows 10 just in case that makes a difference.

I just ran a database rebuild and came up with this:

Thanks for the report.
The warnings "Failed to download precached data for package 'sc284' at build '80346'" can be ignored. The pre-cache data will download next time you start.

I will check into your asset download/install issue for Deluxe content

I restarted and still have the same issue. The seasontown comes up for DL every time I run the game. I tried to go into the Avery/ Drexel session also and have no locos, textures missing asnd such. So you know I have found others on the N3V forums that are having the same problem. They were only showing the standard edition though so I tolod them to contact the helpdesk. Oh and I just tried another database rebuild and no luck as of yet. This is hard to understand. The beta worked great. I know you guys have been working hard on the issues though So I'm patiently waiting for the issue to be resolved

Thank you, I was starting to think I was the only one with patience on here.
I'll be open and blunt, people need to know, major update, things probably are not optimized yet, lots of patches may be needed.

No your not the only one. There is a problem somewhere for edluxe owners and its being worked on. Hopefully it will be fixed soon

Have a similar issue but this is with Warwick - Wallangarra showing as green

Did the force "download purchased items'" but to no avail.

Seems like a little gremlin has snuck into the works that was not with the sp1 beta.

I did not say above that it was only the sessions missing - sorry.
However I did check in CM (before the dl) today and it was saying they were installed. So they were bit of a ghost - there but not there.
Anyway, download window popped up today, so did the dl. Then a Db rebuild and the Freight Run, Passenger Run and the Sydney Mail (mulitplayer) are now showing in my steam install as "new".

Just purhcased delux version, still cannot get Warwick - Wallangarra to work, the 'quick drive' is available, but not the other 3 sessions.

also, are only 4 of the 19 kickstarter county sessions supposed to be unlocked?

Log in to Steam and make sure you are not set up for the HotFix beta. Turn the beta off if you have it on and the SP1 patch downloads automatically like any other Steam update.

FPS count is still abysmal ( On i7 with R9 390x is under 10 with defoult settings...). Half of content is not working, and other half is not on the inventory list... DB says i m even lacking previous payware add ons etc. etc. etc.

TO make summary: I gave it a year, paying even high speed tickets etc. Not any more - im done with this game,. Auran this was last 50$ i gave you and you can shove them where sun doesnt shine... And ill try to spread the word to avoid Trainz series by all means. 1 unhappy customer drags down lot more then 1 happy customer can bring you back.


To all other train sim lovers - grtab somethign else if you want to keep your nerves and actually drive train instead of smashing head on keybrd while figuring out why track XXX or engine XXXX is not working or crashing your scenario.

Did you try the force "purchased items" via "File" on the Launcher? Done a database rebuild? When you launch and then start trainz does it authorise with the Auran servers?
Have you registered at MyTrainz with your T:ANE username?

Is a shame you are having issues :( .

You see if i was fiddling with 2 years old installation maybe those steps could be taken & maybe they could help. However, this was brand new installation, fresh, on SSD, i willingly sacrificed previous routes and gathered engines etc.. JUst to start the game and test it with new patch and ofc, i was expecting big improovements..

Alas.. Final experience is step backwards - game with patch even wont start correctly, previous version at least had payware content there. Therefore im out and TS2016 here I come!
