How to start Tutorials

Hey, I am now wanting to start creating my own map and for the life of me cant find a good tutorial on how to even start from scratch on a build. Anyone come across anything to point me in the right direction. Youtube has been a hindrance since there is to much content to look through. I am new to the building portion of the game since this is the first time I have owned it.

Thanks!! I had another issue, I was trying to find a specific item in the list of items you can place, why are all the names in such crazy writing? Extremely not helpful when I am trying to find a railroad crossing for a roadway. I cant find it for the life of me. I know it is there but its like finding a needle in a stack of needles.

You can use the search bar but it is still hard to find a specific piece.

Check out Approach Medium on Youtube, specifically his Pennsylvania & Berwind series. You can learn a bit at railfan level on operations and rr's by reading some of the books published by Model Railroader Magazine (Kalmbach Books)
