Starting Lag

Whenever i get a boost at the start of a race, it lags my game out of control. is there any fix

What are your computer specs?
You could try going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Ford Racing 3\CONFIG and changing the graphics settings on syscfg.exe. However, I can run the game on my laptop, which has a pretty poor processor (1.4 Ghz AMD), without lag on full settings.

2.66 Ghz i5, I have tried messing with the graphics settings and it does not do anything

When I installed the game on my WIndows 10 computer, it came up with a message saying a required Windows feature was not installed and offered me an option to install it, which I did. This should only apply if you are using Windows 10 or (maybe) 8.1. Did the message show up for you?

I had a similar issue in my experience, but it would crash the game if I got a boost at the start of the race. I was also seeing a random texture as the boost texture (once it was the tail light of a car). When I restarted the game sometimes it worked without fault and sometimes it didn't. What I eventually did was verify the game cache and I believe that was what helped. If it doesn't help, try experimenting with the settings in syscfg.exe. I am on a Windows 8.1 computer, and I can play the game with no issue now.
