Stuck inside Volcano

Hey all. Been smashing this game and loving it. Though I seem to be in quite the situation. I made my way into the mouth of Volcano, thinking I'd only need one explosive to perhaps set it off. Only problem is my jetpack doesn't work (as the game intended) so I can't fly out and I can't dig my way out once the lava begins to rise from its core. So its either I die or...

Get a teleporter and teleport out. Use a thorium generator to power it. If you don't have one wait until you do.

My strategy was to fall down meantime placing whole lot of steps while going down. When i found diamond, i took off jetpack and jumped out on those steps. It's totally doable, however method with teleporter and generator is way easier :)

I have to go the hard way to get the amish paradise achivement.

I found it difficult to escape the volcano, but not impossible when I tried to get the Amish Paradise achievement. I saved a lot and reloaded a lot, but placing the platforms was the only way out. With a few turrets to aid my escape. But I still had the lava licking at my heels the whole way.

I managed to utilize the Particle Shotgun to assist in getting me out, by aiming it down while utilizing the jetpack. Funny thing is, from blocking off all the floor exits inside the volcano dome, I've managed to flood the inside of it. Whenever lava begins to build. I drain it. The effects are outstanding to watch and it also gives you many more platforms to utilize on the way back down.

also, wouldn't a teleporter get destroyed every time the lava floods the inside?

Yes. But there is no need for teleporters after you get the last item you need for the rocket.

Ahhh, I;m obviously getting ahead of myself :P My volcano summit is completely filled with water from the lava rise threshhold. I can't wait to empty that as the lava starts easing back. This game. So good.
