As for Robin and the rest of the Bat Family, thats a bit more up in the air. The problem is we never saw any Bodies or Confirmation beyond the Mask and some
Due to Death in Comics almost never really mattering anymore, to me what is important is how WELL that Story is Written. You can look back at the Death of Superman and even the Dark Phoenix Saga as good examples of Deaths that many Comics Fans still talk about to this day because of how much of an Impact they had. Then you got this Game.
If WB is smart they will quickly Memory Hole this entire Story, if not just Retcon it. If they try and push on with this Story going forward then it could be as fondly remembered as how Jason Todd ORIGINALLY came back, or even worse the Spider-man Brand New Day story line.
The only thing in this game that makes me think the batfamily must be dead is the fact no one shows up to help the fight. If they were around then they shouldn't have sat this one out.
But man... poor Diana.
It does feel like this game should have had the lasso on the flash out the twist "Barry is alive on brainiac primes ship. We're clones to demoralise the population."
It does feel cheap that even bringing them back ignores the actual deaths, even retconning the civilians to captured instead of converted. This is just a very unsatisfying story with a very unsatisfactory ending.
I don't believe no one raised concerns about this game. I just can't
I actually really liked Jason coming back, but how he Originally came back by Superboy Prime Punching the Multiverse was really silly. So glad they Retconned it. Even though I really like him as Redhood, I also liked how he looked in Hush (even though it was actually Clay Face). That older look with the White Streak in his hair looked pretty cool.
I was one of the very few who actually liked Jason as Robin. So that story really hurt. So very cruel to the poor kid.
I like him in Hush too, and it was him at least for a moment. Before he tagged Clayface in. Since they're making a sequel to Hush I'm sure they'll bring the white streak back. I actually despise the Ed Wood design where he doesn't even have a helmet anymore. If his original Rebirth design (jacket, Bat and helmet) was there with the white streak.
But man... DC has been failing me for a long time. This game was just another in their lack of care for their own IPs
