Huge FPS drops
my game go from 80 FPS to 40, It's unplayable, I don't really know what to do, I tried lowering the graphics to minimum but I still have the same problem.

these are the components of my pc:
i7-12700F
1x 16GB RAM
RTX 3060
i have my game installed on SSD

How much dedicated memory does your graphics card have? I'm in the midst of saving to upgrade my RTX 2060 to an RTX 4060 but right now I only have 6GB of VRAM, which is barely enough for the game at all

The game suffers from stuttering.

I'm a tweaker and we've been experimenting with several settings to attempt to make the situation better.

On Linux, it's the same issue, the game stutters.

Just wait for a patch.

Forgot to mention that an extremely small amount of people managed to fix stutters, but they don't want to tell how they did that apparently?

yes I was already thinking about waiting for a patch but I was hoping to find a solution.

I don't understand why people waste their time writing "your PC sucks".

Your PC is not bad, the game has stuttering problems. An i9-14900K paired with a RTX 4090 and 32 GB of 8000 MHz RAM still gets 144 fps with frequent stuttering.

Latest patch killed my fps will go to 80ish and then flat out drop to 40 or under, didn't have any issues before last patch

Have you been playing helldivers ?, i started playing that and when i log into this now my fps is destroyed, was not like that before and i do not want to point fingers at their software but it has got me thinking that maybe it is not shutting off when you exit the game !!!.

Turn off Ray Tracing, if you have it on. Its broken at the moment and causes really bad FPS drops.

Came in here looking for this. Since the last patch my performance is going bananas, and I was running flawlessly at max everything (with dlss) prior to it.

Doesn't fix it for me.

It might help if you dye your hair blue.

The game has a massive stuttering problem, that was even mentioned in tests from gaming or hardware magazines.
And it does not much matter what hardware you have. Even on high end 12900k and 4090 stuttering and FPS drops were occuring and without raytracing activated.

So we need an patch with massive optimization.

Yes, anyone can confirm this.

dont bother i went from 2080super to a 4080super still awful perf really awful perf compared to cyberpunk

Game needs performance optimizations. My assumption is the massive size of Metropolis. They probably need to improve building LOD's, bring in the draw distance, etc, so that the GPU isn't rendering a bunch of extra stuff that the player can't see in their view.

Could also do with some geometry culling. A good example of this is where the game only renders the world that is in view of the perspective, but culls out anything outside of the range of site.

I can see optimizations as being something going forward in future patches most likely.
