They said its last season, they didnt say if we will get Episode 8, i think we will since i highly doubt that last Brainiac fight will be just battling mobs.
And that will be final big update with final Brainiac boss fight where we will most likely free all JL.

I'm sure Rocksteady prepared some killer still images that bring the story to a worthy conclusion.
Maybe they even get the 5$ for AI voices, but it probably depends on the winter sale performance, which is not looking too hot, sadly.
They probably should've resold the bald freeze skin with christmas colors, that would've earned them 10's of dollars.
