The upgrade option is just for upgrading to deluxe if you bought the standard edition.
I "know" that. Yet with 99% of other games, this upgrade "DLC" would be show as owned, hence my doubts.
You obviously didn't know. Not sure why you're being defensive when I've clearly answered your question.
What bothers me in such cases is that I have to check every individual DLC to see if they were included in the Season Pass or not, and add them to my ignore list so I don't purchase the same DLC twice (in case that they were included).
In the case of this particular game at least is easy to see that you don't need to upgrade the standard version if you purchased the Deluxe Edition directly.
I always check SteamDB for DLCs and related apps. I never trust the store page only. But I rarely find games that, despite being Ulitmate/Gold/etc, does not contain all DLCs, but does contain whole content. I remember Black Flag being one of them. And maybe Borderlands 2 and Saint's Row 3, when u bought "whole package" u didn't get Season Pass DLC. Other than that, some games are mistakenly (in my opinion) called "Ultimate", but does not contain all DLCs.
So that was not an everyday situation for me, and Steam Support was not helpful at all. Couldn't find anything on forum, despite searching with phrase "deluxe" and "upgrade", so I decided to start this topic.
It is now solved, but it still leaves a sour taste in my mouth...
I've noticed lately on steam whenever I buy a game with DLC, sometimes the DLC lags and doesn't show as owned in the main store page but if I click on the dlc page it shows that it's in my library.
In your question, the same thing happened with Arma 2. I already have the game and when i go to the game page, it says i don't have it.
I also see Arma 2 on main store page from time to time. I could ignore it, but that would be iffy to my OCD, so I leave it and just roll my eyes from time to time. The reason it happens with Arma is because most likely You live in central Europe, and Your Arma has different AppID than Arma for the rest of the world. So Steam treats that other Arma as main game, and shows it to You, cause it thinks You don't have it.
