Why would it? The game has a reputation of been bad. If it didn't have many players because it wasn't advertised well or had rocky start then a sale like this might help. Unfortunately a bad game is a bad game and this is just their way to draw in some curious people and get them to spend money on micotrnasaction before they realise it wasn't even worth the $5.

Doubt it, its a hard sell this one. I loved some parts of the game but hated alot more.

not really. it had this sale a couple of times. its breathes some life into the game for a couples weeks but then drops back to around 100 people. nothing has changed for the game so even that played it wont comeback either.

after the 4th/final season the game will no longer be worked on anyway. the seasons will just go on a rotation 1-4 from then on.

theres far better games out there for about the same price that deliver more deiverse and fun content for longer
im honestly impressed tho
running the servers must cost more than they got from sales
maybe they try to delay it so they cant be forced to give refunds

I think a winning strategy would be to make games that people actually wanted to pay $70 for, instead of trying to sell them games packed with ideology that they wouldn't even want to play if they were paid $70 to do so. I gladly paid a lot more than this for the Arkham Trilogy (and even Arkham VR).

There's not enough to keep people invested in the gameplay loop so inevitably people get their few hours/days of fun before getting bored and moving on
