Just to clarify! the game did not Lose 200 Million
WB as a gaming WHOLE took a 200 million hit in REVENUE.

that is all that is. all journalist saying anything other than that are spreading fake news/

when a company takes a revenue hit because of 1 product it might have lost more money, it might have lost less money. it might have broke even(doubt it) or made money(hahahaha no)

a revuenue hit just means the revenue is LOWER that last year or less than expected!

learn how to capitilise 101! stop being a commie

This game has 100 players playing it. It literally lost 200 million lmao

I'd guess that it lost the 200 Million it wanted to make. As well as how much the game actually cost to make.

But of course companies being companies aren't going to make that clear to the masses.

you ar emaking jokes
i am on your side i want the studio to be shut down asap
but in all seriousness a total webrevenue hit =/= loss of suicide squad

i reckon the LOSS it is higher than the 200 mil.

don't be a commie, know the difference between total revenue hit vs loss on an individual project/product

Most likely 100 million production cost + expected to make twice that = 200 million revenue loss.

100 million production cost?

hahahahaha

brother it is way way higher than that

go ahead rent or buy a building in UK! fill in with 100 devs, janitor, managers etc. give them salary and benefits, give them computer soffice equimpent. go calulate how much that would cost a year. get back to me!

if you are done., then we will start with the prices to rent a studi for mocap, a studio for sound recording and the salary for voice actors mark hamil, debra wilson, kevin conroy etc, then we get the salary for the mocap actors, then marketing

if you believe all that is closer to 100 million, i got a bridge to sell you fro 1200 dollars!

I was feeling generous ^^.

Add to that that the game was in development like a decade

but that is not how it works

they can take a 200 million revenue hit and still make money.

there was a 200 million hit in revenue of the wb games studio. that means it had an gross income 200 million less than last year Q1.

so what came out q1 last year hogwarts legacy.

now i know suicide squad did not make money. but you can still make money with a revenue hit!

all it means last eyar q1 they sold so many copies of hogwarts legacy that lets say for example their income was 900 million(it is just a made up high number)
this year their income would be 700 million if there is a 200 million hit!

see you can still have a revenue hit and have proft loss or break even!

so my point still stands the 200 million revenue hit does not mean suicide squad lost 200 million. it just means wb games made 200 million grooss less this year in q1! simple as that!

hate the fake news commie urnalist who dont know the basic of capitalist. but they are always out here lecturing us

let me put it in game terms

you seen the journalist playing cuphead?

well that is the level of understanding the journalist who say anything other than it was a revenue hit are

Open "Earnings Release"

Studios segment:
Dune 2 overperformed "significantly", TV revenue declined "meaningfully", Games revenue declined "significantly", Home Entertainment grew "materially".

So if you make estimations, they are most likely based on previous titles, Dune Part One made 407 million $ according to boxofficemojo - Dune Part Two exceeded expectations with 708 million $ according to boxofficemojo.

The Squad lost them a lot of money, we can't be sure how much exactly, but I'm sure it stings ;)

Explain to me how game where they spend around 150m for development and marketing can lose 200m?
I just want to know your math skills.
Even with 500k sold copies they earned 30m and that is with 60e price mark.
That means they lost 120m the most, but most likely less then that
