What happens if this game shuts down?

As far as i am aware. this is a live service game, innit? and there's absolutely no offline play?
won't that mean if the servers goes kaput we essentially can't play the game anymore? guess i lucked out not buying the game. atleast i can still play avengers after it's massive flop

Currently it would be unplayable if they turn the Servers Off. They have "Promised" to Patch in an Offline Story Mode at some point, but they have not explained what that means yet.

Redfall managed to get an offline mode out, but i doubt WB will care enough to bother. It will just be gone.

The game will shut down in all but the servers basically. They will keep the servers up for id wager quite a while actually. Probably years. But i mean the writing is on the wall. Theres barely 100 people playing this game every day, and id wager its not that much better on console. The game is dead. The devs know this, the publishers know this. They will release what DLC they have been working on in a probably semi-unfinished state, or atleast not as fleshed out as they had planned, and they will stop supporting it id say by the end of either this year or next year at the absolute latest.

WB is Billions in Debt. They are not likely to keep going in the negatives just to make a few thousand players happy.

Well even someone wo doen´t care about this game like me, is very interrested if they keep the promise they made even before release.

And the lost of trust from making a bad game, and wated to scam from the beginning is in my eyes different, it shouldn´t be to hard to impent if it was meant from the beginning.

from my experience with this sort of thing their most likely going to release whatever is "finished enough" then wait a month then shut down

Nothing. Everyone that bought the game has been playing it and everyone that still posts here crying because they can't will just move to a different discussion.

The only people it affects negatively are WB and they deserve it.

Rocksteady made their best game yet.

That has indeed become a big worry of mine. Never thought Publishers would try and do that when Digital became the Standard.

based on the dying player population its clear that not everyone who bought the game plays it. id argue most of the people who have it dont play it. 13k all time high and the game is currently fighting to keep a 3 digit player count.

Do you know The crew 1? servers are gone...you cant play it and to top it off Ubisoft took the game from those who buyed it on their launcher. Same will happen with that slop....at best you have a game you cant play anymore in your account. But yeah...80 Euro wasted.
