The thing is.

Gamers can put up with a LOT of crap simply because of how much they love their games.

That's why the industry got to this state, gamers can tolerate bugs, crashes, even games that don't work for days, they can tolerate predatory monetization and micro transactions, day 1 DLCs, selling blood in a war game as DLC, truly a lot of crap.

But the reason why they do it is because they love their games, they are attracted to games, the characters, the stories, the ideas, the fantasy worlds, the wars, everything in there is all so very attractive.

When you go out of the way to make everything repulsive, instead of attractive, with repulsive stories, repulsive characters, repulsive situations, repulsive ideologies, and this room temperature IQ kind of worldview you're not just trying to abuse gamers to take advantage of how much they are interested in your product, you're killing the interest itself.

There is absolutely nothing you can to to salvage this mess, you can have the best gameplay, the best items, the best monetization ever made, if people are just not interested, why should they bother with any kind of improvements?

You've chosen the repulsive path, don't be alarmed when noone is attracted to your game, noone will ever be.
