What's up with the rating
A triple-A game with a very positive rating means it should be a smash hit. Looking at the numbers though, only 3k reviews, and only like 2-4k players, this screams of abject failure. These numbers don't add up.

After the Early Access fiasco, most people refunded or canceled their preorder and at the end only people who were ok with ...this kind of game, bought it and they are leaving 'positive' reviews. I used quotes because if you read them, most reviews don't actually sound positive, like: buy it on sale, slightly better than avengers, fun but not 70$ fun etc

But there is no plot to cover its failure, simply no one bought the game except the fanbois

They got a bunch of the negative reviews removed so it wouldn't affect sales.
Game is pretty mid all in all imo.

If this forum anything to go by, the fans are too obsessed with Harley Quinn's looks than the state of the game.

No that's paranoia, the only reviews that are filtered out (not removed) are ones that have 0.1hrs of playtime and excessively negative (review bombing) and the ones from keys activation (to avoid publishers distributing keys to people so they leave positive reviews). Literally, very few people bought it after seeing the gameplay and other things and they left some 'mid' reviews masked as positive because there isn't a 'mid' option, but a lot of them rate it a 6

It doesn't automatically mean a smash hit. This game is getting destroyed online in an echo chamber of hate.

I beat it and had fun with it. It's miles better than Avengers and BL3, which aren't high standards to beat, but still.

When the game will be 40% off or on Game Pass, people will probably be more positive about it.

OR more people will try it and the ratings will go lower, it's already gone down 2-3 points, 82% now

I'm not wrong though, They "Steam" as per their policy removed reviews that in their eyes are review bombing so it won't affect sales.

Well when you ruin an iconic characters looks for literally no reason, why would I want to play your game?

It's almost as if ppl get attached to characters and dislike seeing them ruined.

No, they removed them because someone playing a game for 10 minutes just to leave a scathing review then refunding is clearly doing it because has an agenda. Review bombing isn't allowed and rightly so. BTW I think the game is trash, but I am not going to buy the game just to leave a bad review because I am not mentally ill

Well when you ruin an iconic characters looks ppl tend to not like it.

If you can't even get a 20+ year old characters looks right, why would I expect the story or gameplay to be even remotely good?

I think this article explains it all.

https://www.gamesindustry.biz/the-live-service-model-is-all-played-out-opinion?mc_cid=28e5d7b6a0

Regardless of the rumours that steam is deleting reviews, the article points out that "Live Service" is a failing game model, its simple, most people don't want to play a forced always online, cannot play offline, co-op "single player" game.

Especially when they charge £50-£100 for the privilege of then being charged AGAIN when they add minuscule amounts of content, exceptionally repetitive game-play.

Then there's the fact they constantly pushing random political and sociological propaganda that has become so prevalent in every day life, TV, Games, Comics etc that not ONE thing has actually been improved by it, the sales even prove this... No one outside of random politicians and nobody celebrities with nothing better to do constantly promoting it, regardless of how much or little of this nonsense there is.
