I understand why your demon "gods" and your religion compel you to support this: what else do you have left but to kill the pretend "gods" that you invented to try to replace God during your "march through the institutions"?

But I have never seen a game so universally disliked even by the "true believers." Of course, there's always a "true believer" who wants to "revolution" harder into oblivion, but there are clearly not many.

Then there's you, the one sent to try to scream "record harvest, comrade!" throughout the famine. I know steam has been prosecuted successfully at least twice for it's collusion with gaming publishers, and that publishers pay internet influencers to whip up their hate mobs (that's you, this game is your chance to show how much you hate "the chuds") to specific ends, but it just seems that NO ONE who isn't getting paid or threatened to support this is supporting this.

It's just laying the entire machine bare.

I have some interesting things I just found out:
sweet baby (the script doctor for most modern games and who wrote this game) is openly a subsidiary of the canadian government. they are connected to the canadian health ministry, which is headed by an ex-cia reasearcher who was a lead on mk ultra program.

valve also has a contract with sweet baby as consultants so valve is deleting reviews because they have a stake in this game.

I don't know a better way to say it. somehow warner brothers has found a way to create a legitimate "emperor has no clothes" situation but reversed.

Of course. About 15 or so years ago there was a big push to present superheroes as "the new myths." Like all bad ideas it started in academia when around 2005 a university professor wanted a "history of comics class" and pointed out that Christianity and comic books are the same thing because Superman makes multiple references to Moses (there are some ideas so stupid that they can only be believed by academics).

This filtered to pop culture around 2009, and was used by midwits online to try to pump up the prestige of the failing american comics industry (it has since completely collapsed).

When I played the game "ghost of tsushima" I started noticing that the "deconstruction" efforts of the regime have now encompassed all Virtues, even pagan virtues. As superheroes have been considered as a new pantheon of pagan gods by weirdos online for over a decade now, it makes sense even they are to be hunted down and defamed and murdered as civilization winnows into unreason.

no Virtue is allowed, not even pagan virtues. No "gods" are allowed, not even fake ones meant to ape pagan "gods." Only the state, only the regime is allowed. Ironically this is the first tenet of fascism (there are 5), which is amusing as all who stand in the way of these desecrations are accused of being a "fascist." It's funny to me, but I feel a pity over it.

As to how it relates to the universally negative reception of this game: the "new atheist" movement was heavily tied into nerd culture. I remember hearing rhetoric about how superhero worship among nerds is the same thing as Christianity from new atheists pre-2005, so I assume this went from new atheist rhetoric to academia. Even though it only started having books written on the topic after academia picked it up.

Anyways, I am positing that the reason not even the "true believers" like this game is because those "new athiests" who sacrificed EVERYTHING for nerd culture are now seeing nerd culture under the same attacks that nerd culture was used to justify decades ago. Therefore the push back as even "true believers" are being jolted awake because without nerd culture they will have nothing left at all.
