and the whole thing about violating TOS is horse crap, there are giant ASCII penises in a ton of other game review streams on steam and valve doesn't do a damn thing about those....
https://web.archive.org/web/20240000000000*/https://store.steampowered.com
this is in defense of steam not the game the game is actually mid
and even if they did, a review that breaches the ToS being removed, isn't malicious
However, is there a good explanation on why steam reviews are so different than critic reviews and out of line with the player counts? I'd agree that external user reviews are probably more vulnerable to bad faith scoring (in either direction).
I feel like we've seen this same pattern of steam reviews on the release of a divisive game lagging behind reality for a couple months. I have to imagine it is related to their anti review bombing logic or something like that.
thats the main difference
exactly how are they out of line with player counts?
if anything the reviews are high in contrast to playercounts
and how do you screenshot something after it got deleted? That's like asking me take a picture of a UFO after it flew away 2 hours ago.....
simple people are not buying the game due to negative press so no negative reviews from those who would have bought the game just to get disappointed.
Why do so few people understand this?
classic deflection. the point here is that people are claiming something to have happened without being aple to prove it...
"they deleted the proof" is one hell of an excuse to get out of proving an accusation like this
these are literally snapshots of steamdb on a wayback machine
The game is Dog yet its very positive on Steam some sort of shady crap going on so why are you even defending Valve you getting paid? or just shilling for no good reason.
the target audience bought the game and enjoyed it, the rest of you didn't buy the game because it doesn't appeal to you.
see how that works? its not shady, its how reviews are supposed to work.
you don't review something you don't have the intention of playing because you aren't part of the target audience
Where are you seeing that ? The number of negative reviews is currently at 739 as of posting this response
