So you don't want an honest evaluation of the game.
By honest, it needs to be sincere.
If a person honestly believe in what they are saying, then I am interested in it.
I want to examine the situation from all angles.
I think I do understand the angles from the people disgruntled by the game.
Now I want to see the other side.
And while I do it, you may to reflect on the fact that just because other people may differ from your own personal opinion regarding a product that does not make them dishonest. I think once you realize it you will be a happier kid.
A lot of people seem to have taken umbrage with the fact the combat is not the same... However, if you love looter shooters I reckon you'll like this.
It's rather player friendly, and doesn't seem that grindy when it comes to getting better gear. Initially I bought this game for Harley and Harley alone, but I fell in love with the game itself. I want to watch it develop and grow.
The combat is fast pace and very engaging. Admittedly there are only a few tasks in the open world so it does become repetitive after a bit... But I believe more will be introduced with each season - and those 4 seasons will be free if I remember correctly so that's a plus.
If you like looter shooters, it’s great. The combat is fantastic the environment is detailed and the story is engaging. Looter shooters in general are grindy and can become repetitive so if that’s not your thing then maybe not for you. The road map is very player friendly and they will be adding new free content that will help change it up a bit. I’d recommend watch gameplay videos and see for yourself.
Personally I am not going to get this game because I don't want to support Sweet Baby Inc but with that said I think a lot of people would probably enjoy this game if it were $40 to $50.
From what I have seen on YouTube I personally don't think this game is worth paying full price.
IDK
I wouldn't go in expecting an amazing singleplayer story experience, the game is very much geared towards the base gameplay.
There is pretty interesting gearing, and no gear level, so you could use the same legendary gun from hour 1 to endgame if you wanted to, and in general many of the different gear effects are good. If they do something about the fire damage build that everyone is abusing, i feel like there would be a good amount of build variety too.
So in short: it's a looter shooter with some funny dialogue and pretty good gearing, but currently the endgame is repetitive and still needs work.
Just go to you tube and watch playthroughs. It plays like a roof top jumping simulator with guns, shiny particle effects everywhere and micro-transactions. If that's your cup of tea then go for it.
If you wanted another great Arkham game then go back and play the old games.
You won't see more than 3 or 4 nodes on each individual skill tree that just gives minor stat buffs, and instead give actual gameplay perks with mechanical difference. Example, Deadshot gets a perk that makes his crits stack bleeds on mobs, or Shark getting a perk that makes him deal less melee damage but his melees have splash damage. Etc.
Personally I liked the game and I played it mainly for the co-op with me and my boyfriend. Sadly I cannot like the game in any capacity because people think I am a jokester for enjoying it and that I am some "shill" for writing a review, So I had to re-write my entire review in Japanese instead of English.
Games like this I love the thrill of fighting stuff. When I played a MXO Game way back in 2003, I would fight npcs for hours and never got bored, While others may think that sounds boring and repetitive It was mostly because of pulling cool moves and the badass music that went with it.
And right on cue, 99% of the responses are haters who don't own the game.
Typical.
