Games as a service

I just see so many people discussing politics and how bad the story is. But the real issue here is that the game is just a grind fest with very bad endgame content. I really don't feel like grinding the same handful of mission to make some numbers go up on some guns etc.

If rocksteady had just made a game that was fun to play and not so repetitive in the long term. As the game is really meant to be played. Then I would have bought this game myself already.

That's the core of the problem. It has nothing to do with "woke", "agenda", or anything else. It's just a lame live-service looter-shooter in a world full of them. I don't find gear score immersive anymore.

But Sadly, companies still want long term income from their games. And games as a service seems to be the only way to achieve this goal right now.

One thing I do agree on is that real world politics shouldn't be in our means of escapism. Whether those politics come from either the left or the right.

Yeah, of course is not all about pollitics, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ agenda-driven dialogues, and pissing of male heroes. GaaS on an already high price game and the generic repetitive gameplay are probably the main reason why many people are glad to see this game fail.

It will always be like that, more or less. There are too many useful idiots ("noun; a naive or credulous person who can be manipulated or exploited to advance a cause or political agenda") who can be persuaded into helping the rich minority with keeping us divided and distracted.
