It appears that they are deleting negative reviews in a desperate attempt to save face .

The game is fun as f@$k, with one of the better reroll utilitys in any game i've played.

The game is DoA and still has a 80+ rating. Of course its suspect as hell. Literally EVERYONE I know and everyone on youtube is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on this PoS game. Of course the company deletes negative reviews. The first thing the average person looks at, is the rating of the game. If its good, they take a look. But as we can see, it doesnt work for this game as the majority already knows its garbage and only the small handful of people who slept under a rock blindly bought it because its a DC game.

Steam says it's in the top seller but when you look at steamcharts it's a low amount of players:

6,709 playing 14 min ago

13,459 24-hour peak

13,459 all-time peak

Seems strange.

Otherwise yes this wouldn't be the first time that people delete negative comments thus you see positive reviews and it's a flop regardless despite how much they try to cover it, we will see if that happen here.

It's not suspect, the target audience just likes it.
Visual novels and other niche games also receive great reviews mostly.

No one who doesn't like that stuff buys it, simple as that.

There doesn't need to be a conspiracy, I could even list straight up shovelware with rave reviews, there are even special steam groups/curators that focus on that "genre".

Cool, but this is a AAA game which is HEAVILY advertised across so many platforms like twitch, youtube, hell even twitter. Yet it has sold TERRIBLY as we can see in the amount of day 1 playercount. Yes it has good scores but those are people who are in the honeymoon phase. Give them time, they will see how absolutely terrible the endgame is and how short it is. Remember, starfield started with great ratings on steam as well and now look at it. As soon as the honeymoon phase is over, we will see negative reviews popping up left and right. 😂🤣

Funny, I think the mainstream hatefest reviews are way, way more sketchy.

Well, not really.

It's just feeding off negativity - like so many people seem to enjoy so much.

Im sorry your favorite youtuber looked at all the reddit hate pre launch and made a review trying to appeal to that opinion. notice how any game that is not getting a lot of hype or is game of the year contender gets mixed to bad reviews at best? its because youtubers are not reviewing games. they are trying to read the room to get views and jump on any bandwagons as early as they can. sadly it pays because they never get ♥♥♥♥ for it. i loved cyberpunk but yong yea put out a review praising the game with out ever playing it. his reward is he got to do voice acting for the yakuza game. stop watching these day 1 youtuber reviews they are not here to help you.

I thought the same thing at first, then noticed that it's only about 2k reviews. Which means hardly anyone has even bothered, and it's likely that people just haven't been buying it because they've heard about how bad it is, and does all the heroes dirty.

Edit: Metacritic score is 62 on official reviews, and 3.9 on user reviews. Nobody likes this game.

I have a feeling you're the one deleting the reviews. 🤔

yet here you are talking about it for days on end. you must love it.

Is it that hard to believe people like the game?
This is a looter shooter, it’s obviously going to appeal to that crowd… that and suicide squad/some DC fans.

Days on end? First time I've commented on it at all. Talk about hyperbole.
Enjoy it if you like, I don't care. I'm just pointing out that the aggregate seems to disagree and thinks it's not good.

Edit: Had a quick peek at your posting history. Wouldn't throw stones, my dude. You've been constantly posting non-stop in this discussion board only for the last three days.

It hardly matters that there's 10k vs 10 online (but it does because this is a AAA product meaning...), be ready for a PNG stating "Thanks for your continued support, but servers are coming down." or "Support has ended, servers will stay up for a bit, but DLC and future content cancelled."

I saw some people stating that they deleted a ton of negative reviews to skew it to Mostly Positive, but IDK since I haven't been following this game.
I don't buy the "deleting reviews" thing. I don't think developers have the ability to do that. I think it's more likely that people who would give it favorable reviews are the only ones buying it.
