Why is Deadshot black now?

This is set in the Arkham universe right? Did they think we’d forget he was shown to be a white guy? I don’t actually care about deadshot being black, just that these lazy devs will radically change character designs to fit their marketing strategy

because will smith played him in the movie, and will smith is black. it is actually addressed in the game as well on multiple occasions.

It makes sense. Everyone thinks of Deadshot as a black guy these days.

So i guess it's then not explained in the game what the relation is between deadshoot from arkham city and this one.

I mean we talk about DC, there could be 100 of reason which explains the changes, but I guess to just ignore it is also a way to do it.

They literally state in the game that the original was an imposter. Even though batman saw him in the arkham series without his mask and acknowledged him as the real dead shot. Batman doesn't see color, he's that cool.
