error in game-what does it mean?
when I run the game it is says:
"error
your system appears to be using single-channel memory which may have a negative impact on performance.
using dual-channel memory is recommended for the optimal experience."

what does it means?

it means your ram is severely outdated and old and the game may run like crap because of it.

I just received this error today (I was fine yesterday), and I am 100% not using a single-channel setup. I'm going to ignore it and see what happens but the game isn't short of some optimization bugs.

I am having this too on my ChimeraOS machine. RAM is detected and running at Dual Channel in the BIOS but the game keeps telling me it's single channel.

Might be a Proton issue because I've seen people on Steam Decks having the same issue.

I'd love to comment on it running on my Windows machine, but it won't load due to some bug with the "EasyAntiCheat" not being detected.

This message was not appearing in the early access version. Im pretty sure its some kind of bug.

I was getting it in EA.

I doublechecked in both my BIOS and ran CPU-Z, and my RAM is definitely dual channel. I get this every launch.

This isn't true. I have a laptop with a 4070, I9 13900, and one stick of 16gb DDR5 and the game will run for like 2 minutes then just crash. It has nothing to do with being outdated. It has to do with it not utilizing dual channel features for the RAM. I just bought another stick of 16gb to go in there so I can update here when I try that out.

For further explanation: I have a desktop with a 3080, 32gb of RAM (2* 16) DDR4, Ryzen 5 5600 and the game runs as smooth as butter. Also have an older 3070 ti, Ryzen 5 2600, with 2* 8GB DDR4 that runs it fine (albeit, lower graphics settings, but it never crashes)

DDR means Double Data Rate.
You get good performance with two identical RAM sticks.
Melody Feb 8, 2024 @ 7:30am
It means you didn't put your RAM sticks properly on the motherboard, if you have 4 slots, you need to put your 2 sticks in 1st and 3rd slots, not 1st and 2nd slots. This is what it means.

If you already did that, the game is bugged.
Hey there, just wanted to confirm I'm getting this same error. Using Steam Proton with my machine. I've confirmed via terminal that my RAM is all in perfect health and is recognized in each slot on my motherboard. Suicide Squad gives the error each time I start up the game.:steamsad:

That's normal with Proton, you can safely ignore it.

I'm on Steam Deck and it has quad channel ram and I'm getting that message.
It's a bug in an already buggy game.
