The Arkham Knight footage looks to be using maxed out settings.
The Suicide Squad, not so much.
There are zero reflective surfaces in view when the game is chock full of reflective surfaces on my relatively weak by modern standards 3060. There is no light bouncing off the costume material where it is pretty darn shiny on my end.
This is a fabricated lie to make you think the game's visuals - which are at worst on par with Arkham Knight, looking at how it renders rainstorms - are worse than they actually are.
Looking at other videos I found it seems to look same bad as in the video comparision I linked. If you have a better recording you could upload it and show it to others.
That's what progress looks like :S, Meritocracy VS Quota Hiring.
Which nobody asked for, and they had over a decade
Many of those games I listed are also at LEAST a decade old. There's zero excuse a new release in the year 2024 can't be both "fast paced" and also manage to have graphics better than a PS3 game.
Suicide Squad fails in both regards. There are decade old games, that had far lower budgets, that muster better gameplay and visuals. This game is lazy and inept in every regard. The traversal is worse than RockSteady's own games from 10 years ago. So is it's graphics. So is it's story. There's nothing exceptional about SS, except for its massive lack of respect towards the IP it's leeching off of.
But now, SS is working as intended and it's just bad by design. Maybe if they tried to do something graphically impressive it might have performance issues. But instead they skip on architecture and build the city out of minecraft boxes. The ocean shader is a joke.
Okay but we can compare the appearance of the game. In 9 years, or 15 years in arkham asylum's case, why does this game look worse? 9 years is a lot of time to add proper shadows and reflections.
