When comparing Harley's costume I noticed old game has much better looking fabric detail and stitching, in new one it looks kind of cheap. The classic costume I mean, not sure about the others.
It actually makes me hyped for the old games and makes me want to play them again.
We didn't know how good we had it back then until they started ruining gaming.
your point?
So why does a Gears of War game, or Halo game, or even something like Titan Fall have better graphics and lighting than SS? They're all fast paced multiplayer games, and they don't look like dog vomit.
We are also comparing a PS4 game to a PS5 game.
People expect at least a minor graphical upgrade, not a heavy downgrade.
I don't think there is a single good thing in this new Suicide Squad game, literally the only thing I can think of is that the voice actors are pretty good. No wonder Harley is talking over all the trailers. That's the best sellingpoint.
The point being, on launch AK was so bad with bugs/graphics issues, they stopped selling it. I got it with a gtx 970 card for free but like a year later or so they brought the game back to steam and gave people who owned AK free Batman games.
Still sad at the current state of gaming though.
It's not just graphics, but also the animations, the gameplay and the story. What did they do all these years, tweaking the MTX and consulting Sweet Baby Inc. to make every story step worse?
And how did Sweet Baby Inc. "approve" the Flash scene? This is nothing I want to see in any series, movie or game, imagine the outrage if they did that with Wonder Woman...
So yeah, after the Alpha I adjusted my expectations, but this game really managed to dance limbo below my already very low bar :(
in 9 years a lot could change, Rocksteady today probably isn't who they were in 2015 as the devs likely moved on or went to do other things in life.
Not to mention in 2015 the goal was making a high-quality Batman experience, the goal today is making as much money as possible using familiar IP.
Why is this the case? Who knows, probably new executives, new management, and companies realizing the money is in live services games, at the risk of the IP so here we are. I see a lot of people whining about Sweet baby inc. or diversity ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but it's all a smoke screen to shield from the corporate greed that plagues the gaming industry.
I'm sure if this game were made to just be a top quality co op game without the need to be ongoing or always online it'd probably be more akin to Arkham Knight but unfortunately companies like EA have made 73% of their income from live services, and WB Interactive wants a slice of that cake.

WB is also behind Hogwarts Legacy and that game is selling great (more than 24 million units), was received well and it was MTA-free (with some very minor DLC) and offline Singleplayer.
Yes, Hogwarts Legacy will not earn a billion every year for the next years, but I guess Suicide Squad won't either.
Live-Service games that actually generate LOTS of money are very rare.
And considering EA:
Look what generates their income, they rely heavily on very few franchises, some of them release yearly with full price (on top of MTA).
If they so much as gave Harley more hair physiques it would most likely cause a lot of issues
Oh sweet! Thanks for the link
