No Shared Progression

After playing for several hours with a random in matchmaking, I jumped back into solo play only to find that it spit me back many missions earlier in the game. I had to replay and re-unlock many missions and NPC's for the hub area and it appears as though all of my story progress from the coop match was not carried back into my solo play progression.

Progress appears to carry from solo to coop but not from coop to solo. Wtf?

Is anyone else experiencing this?

if u are in chapter 1 and your friend is chap 3 and u join him,and u do the chap 3 with him. then u go back into your game and u play your chap 1-3 and if u are at chap 3 , u can skip it cause game knows u did it. wokred fine that way so far. allways hard to listen to lvl 0 i hide my profile folks xD

That's my concern though; I selected the 'matchmaking' option which paired me up with someone who was on the same chapter and mission as myself. Upon returning to solo play it had not carried over all the missions we had completed together. This doesn't seem right.

I believe there is only player progression kept when playing co-op with just a "soft" form of story progression. So for instance, if you're on chapter 2 in your solo save and you just completed chapter 4 with your buddy or randoms, the game will remember you've completed chapter 4 in your solo save but won't allow you to jump from chapter 2 to 4 UNTIL you reach the beginining of chapter 4. At which point, the game will allow you to skip the parts you already completed.
