Why are people whining about wokeness in this game?

The game is an issue because it's a live service, always online, cash grab that could've been something more.

NOT because they consulted with some diversity firm but somehow i'm seeing people use "wokeness" and anti-LGBT rhetoric to excuse why the game is bad? When in reality it's probably some old white dudes in suits who are making the real decisions.

Look at Bobby Kotick, dude got fired and left with 400 MILLION but for some reason we're attacking some low to mid level random graphic designer because she has a girlfriend?

Or some African American dude who ultimately just modeled the buildings? I seen these people's faces plastered all over negative social media post just for simply EXISTING at the company.

The real enemy is corporate greed, stop using LGBT as punching bag while completely ignoring the people in charge making the real decisions. I almost imagine most of these progressive campaigns are to bait gamers into blaming minorities so they can distract from the reality that it's the execs who are burning the house down.

Like i said, some pride flag in a video game isn't letting go of 5000 people after a game sells record breaking numbers, but an exec trying to impress shareholders is.

You should care because "wokeness" directly affect story telling because its main goal is not to tell good story but to have all marks checked. For the 97% of things i dont care about left or right wing, they are same type of ill people, what i dont like is when they take already established character that exist for few decades and then they either change gender or race of that character, that is the only problem for me when it comes to "woke"(i hate this word so much because its taken to the ground by people who dont know a thing)

I'll even go further back and bring up the FashTube era where literal KKK and Neo-Nazi leaders had YouTube channels and were recommended to gamers until YouTube actually had to do something about it. The pipeline still exists though since they just recommend Dailywire crap. I actually had to get my cousin's parents to block all those channels because they were showing up on Minecraft videos.

Honestly, I'm always chuckling whenever I hear another "conservative thinker” screech about how they are being silenced by the Big Media, when Youtube had no problems streaming live debates between Richard Spencer and Sargon of Cuckad or hosting Lauren Southern’s spicy conspiracy theories just a couple of years ago. Even now it’s full of completely ridiculous reactionary trash, that is being recommended left and right.

I mean, I get tired of Batman being portrayed as James Bond in a bat suit, feel like Hickman's run of X-Men went on a little too long, and they should've recast Chadwick Boseman for Wakanda Forever...
But it's not enough to make me want to throw a temper tantrum online about it since I have the older Batman movies on DVD, can read Jim Lee and Clarenont's runs of X-Men digitally anytime and watch the original Black Panther on Disney+. In most cases I'm too busy working 60 hours a week to afford a roof over my head to starve to death under to worry about greedy corporations not handling IPs probably because a greedy corporation doesn't want to pay me enough.

a quick look at Harley's horrible character design in this game is enough for me to know the kind of blue haired twitter warriors developing this game. I can smell them miles away. Bonus point for yet another extremely ugly Debra Wilson character. Sure sign the game is hot garbage.

Now my response. Because Tokenism and diversity efforts are being used as a diversion to cover up the real crime of making a shoddy cash grab product. I get what you are saying, and you aren't wrong. But not enough gamers like myself are willing to admit that these games are trying to supplement fan resentment of a cheaper product by saying it is inclusive.

Instead of building on what the original founders of Rocksteady created, WB had Rocksteady use their studio's name recognition to create cheaper garbage while raising the price. Then they went about clicking diversity check boxes rather than making a better game. No it isn't about the Black 3d modeler or the LGBT community. But honestly those communities, one of which I belong to, are letting themselves get used by these same greedy corporate hacks like Bobby Kotick.

Like economic human shields. So, what do you expect the mob with the pitchforks to do? Have a reasoned and varied response or to lash out blindly like an exasperated customer with an online automated representative.

I can see the racism and the homophobia, but I can also see that they are being baited. Yes, I am not blind to the real bigots and their bigotry behind some of these post. But, it doesn't change the reality that WB and many of other media companies are poking the beast then tossing it some red meat at the expense of quality gaming craftsmanship. If we ignore this reality it will only get more radicalized and extreme.

Corporations are trying to substitute fantasy for real life equality, while laying off thousands of people. And we are not talking about it.

If we talk about it, and point out the scheme hopefully it gets handled. As of now that is a pipe dream because when I look at Steam's top sellers Suicide Squad sits at the top. All I can respond with is.
