Don't forget, they ruin Batman and Superman etc. for everyone FOREVER. WOKE.
If characters you like are ruined “FOREVER” due to one storyline you don’t like, you need help.
Imagine someone watching dark knight and being like “I can’t enjoy this anymore because that one totally separate Batman in a video game wasn’t handled the way I wanted it to”. Also you probably shouldn’t read any comics because there are PLENTY of bad storylines there that will ruin character “forever” XD
It's exactly the same with the newer Star Wars movies or Star Trek shows. These folks (not saying everyone here is like that, but you know, generalization lol) are always screaming omg Rise of Skywalker RUINED ALL OF STAR WARS FOR ME OMG. No it didn't. The original trilogy is still there, even the prequels are still there if you liked those. Same with Star Trek Discovery, omg so dark and ruins canon blah blah. No it didn't, TOS is still there as are all the other shows and movies. I just never understood that argument. At all. Maybe because I'm old, maybe you have to be "younger" to have things ruined for you I guess?
I think you missed my incredible sarcasm and sardonic wit in my comment. See my comment right under your own :D
There's a reason there are Elseworld stories etc. And again, you don't have to play the game, let alone like the story if you do. You don't have to get invested, you could ignore the game or just play it for the game play if it suits you.
It's how the world works. Or ideally how it should work. If you are incapable of ignoring something, it'll eat at you as evidenced with all the wonderful problems going on in the world right now. Especially since we are talking about a game here. And the entire reason this game exists, is because of Elseworld style stories and what comics (and indeed movies and games) can offer - not real life. I don't get why the fact a pride flag triggers people so bad, and the entire game is classified as "woke garbage" because of it. There is no other agenda being shoved in, it's a single flag in the game.
Lazy game, that's an opinion. Microtransactions, yeah they suck and they should get called out for them. But it's not some political statement or agenda thing that they are in there. The fact this is connected to the Arkham world - it's Rocksteady's game. They can do that. And if it's an Elseworld's story, all the better so people *don't* have to accept it as some sort of canon thing in DC. So, maybe ignore the game then? Why is ignoring it, bad? I bet there are plenty of other games that have come along recently people have thought were "woke" and they easily ignored those. Even those that have "beloved" characters etc. Right?
