This game is truly bad.
I just watched the majority of the cutscenes on YouTube and I still feel scammed, This game costs $120 in my country which is a joke. If you’re buying this game YOU are the PROBLEM in the current gaming industry.

Do not reward developers for making lazy games that no one asked for or wants, they also have the audacity to insert political agendas and real world “problems” to lecture the customer as well as micro transactions.

I’ve said it many times before and I’ll say it again, Sweet Baby Inc is a plague on the video gaming industry and anything they’re associated with won’t get a single dime from me.

Literally just a small lgbtq+ banner in a hallway. 6 hours in and there is absolutely no other form of "wokeness" or "political correctness" or anything like that. This game is getting dragged by everyone who wanted ANOTHER singleplayer Batman game, and got this instead. So because of that, they are picking out every small thing they can to call this game garbage or make it seem like you are part of the problem for purchasing it.

Not hiring DCAU actors to voice the rest of the Justice League or Lex Luthor or Rick Flag or Amanda Waller or Brainiac, needlessly changing Deadshot's skin color, making Amanda Waller slim, butchering the Arkham Knight ending and giving Batman a disrespectful death is an absolute insult to fans of the Arkhamverse!

If characters you like are ruined “FOREVER” due to one storyline you don’t like, you need help.
Imagine someone watching dark knight and being like “I can’t enjoy this anymore because that one totally separate Batman in a video game wasn’t handled the way I wanted it to”. Also you probably shouldn’t read any comics because there are PLENTY of bad storylines there that will ruin character “forever” XD

It's exactly the same with the newer Star Wars movies or Star Trek shows. These folks (not saying everyone here is like that, but you know, generalization lol) are always screaming omg Rise of Skywalker RUINED ALL OF STAR WARS FOR ME OMG. No it didn't. The original trilogy is still there, even the prequels are still there if you liked those. Same with Star Trek Discovery, omg so dark and ruins canon blah blah. No it didn't, TOS is still there as are all the other shows and movies. I just never understood that argument. At all. Maybe because I'm old, maybe you have to be "younger" to have things ruined for you I guess?

I think you missed my incredible sarcasm and sardonic wit in my comment. See my comment right under your own :D

Ah yes the "it's magic space wizards for kids" argument. Let's just do whatever we want with characters and ignore all the past stories and lore. You've given a bad faith argument. Why even care about any story at this point from your world view.

Completely irrelevant if it's dark humor or not. You can have serious moments in humorous moments (look at many comics), you can have lighthearted moments in serious stories (again look at any story out there).

As a side note, stop using "offended". It doesn't mean anything and in this case you're using it to make my statements less valid.

Yes, they can do whatever they want with characters and ignore anything they want from past stories and lore if they want. It's their characters, not yours or mine. How is that a bad faith argument, and why does it preclude you from caring about any story if that's the case?
Because if anyone can do anything with characters and storylines then why should anyone else get invested? This game uses existing characters with already existing backstories and fans. Sure they CAN do whatever they want but it makes the universe and storyline worthless because there is no longer consistency.

There's a reason there are Elseworld stories etc. And again, you don't have to play the game, let alone like the story if you do. You don't have to get invested, you could ignore the game or just play it for the game play if it suits you.

That's just a non argument. You're completely avoiding the discussion and just saying "just ignore the problem".

Game is fun as hell, story is good, gameplay/combat is damn fun. Price tag is a bit steep, not happy about Loot boxes and battle pass. but overall if ya got the extra cash pick it up. espec if ya got a few nerd friends.

It's how the world works. Or ideally how it should work. If you are incapable of ignoring something, it'll eat at you as evidenced with all the wonderful problems going on in the world right now. Especially since we are talking about a game here. And the entire reason this game exists, is because of Elseworld style stories and what comics (and indeed movies and games) can offer - not real life. I don't get why the fact a pride flag triggers people so bad, and the entire game is classified as "woke garbage" because of it. There is no other agenda being shoved in, it's a single flag in the game.

Lazy game, that's an opinion. Microtransactions, yeah they suck and they should get called out for them. But it's not some political statement or agenda thing that they are in there. The fact this is connected to the Arkham world - it's Rocksteady's game. They can do that. And if it's an Elseworld's story, all the better so people *don't* have to accept it as some sort of canon thing in DC. So, maybe ignore the game then? Why is ignoring it, bad? I bet there are plenty of other games that have come along recently people have thought were "woke" and they easily ignored those. Even those that have "beloved" characters etc. Right?
