you do know that this rule that a game cant have mtx if its a payed game has always been cope and it never existed right? in fact most games that are paid still have mtx anything from assassins creed to diablo to destiny they all have ways to try to get more out of you i would go as far as to say you are MORE likely to get micro ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in AAA games then indie games so if your standard is a game cant have mtx and be paid i would say stick to only indie games.

mtx isn't a problem with people who have the mental fortitude to not fomo which is a hard bar to pass but there is nothing inherently wrong with the idea of having a system in place that unlocks you goodies here and there for 10 bucks a month its only when that system is abused does it become a problem.

regardless on your subjective feelings on the matter 70 dollar base price with a 30-50% chance of MTX IS the baseline that is company's respecting you like i said there is nothing inherently wrong with mtx its when its abused is when it becomes a problem. most people don't mind getting that dopamine hit when they unlock a green lantern suit for harley or a batman suit for XYZ or a kevin conroy voice pack for XYZ.

you are setting yourself up for failure if you think you a owed anything more or less because you simply don't matter and your opinion doesn't matter as long as the leading force to make money is mtx its never going away so you either get with the program or give up on AA and AAA games. a forum post where you are stomping and screaming does absolutely nothing, review bombing does absolutely nothing the vocal minority simple have no weight on anything to do with the game because they are the minority. just look at TLOU2 it got review bombed so hard it was the worst rated game of all time however it still won multiple awards and even goty in some shows. there are rare company's like larian studios who will make quality games and still abide by older rules of making games but largely speaking 99% of company's have embraced mtx as a core game mechanic.

You're very wrong there. This game's monetization is going to piss off 90% of its desired playerbase and they are going to review bomb the game and it's going to fail, hard. Then the servers will be shut down you won't be able to play it because you will be part of the vocal minority who simply have no weight on anything to do with the game because you are the minority.

It was a rhetorical question. Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League has some of the worst monetization options in gaming. And that's AFTER they toned it down following a huge backlash last year. Yikes!

no im not, history has all the evidence you need review bombs don't matter but 95% of games are getting review bombed and 80/20 for monetization means if you aren't the 80 whale you literally don't matter. the reason that monetization is getting more and more rampant in games regardless of rules and regulations passing all around the world for them is LITERAL proof in the pudding that it generates enough revenue to be worth the cost we also know its only the vocal minority that speak up and make posts about ♥♥♥♥ where the larger playerbase is enjoying the game and playing it you sulk around online like batman acting like WB killed your parents. the fact of the matter is most normal people don't visit forums or reddit they buy a game put it in and play it and forum there own conclusion again you simply don't matter, im also included in the don't matter category im just not brainwashed enough to think my steam thread is going to be this big change when you look at the numbers you are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ threw and threw there is zero reason to fight about it.

look at GOT season 8, it had "tons of outrage" on the last season yet it had a 68% approval rating.
look at TLOU 2 review bombed into oblivion, still goty.
look at all the threads on monetization, still in every game.

Most of them are free to play and don't charge you $70 up front to charge you forever with microtransactions on top of that.
