RE4make took the personality out of RE4. It'll take time and distance for more people to realize this. Some people are still in the honeymoon period and haven't come to the realization that RE4make was a lot more generic and less stylized than the original.

Crowbcat was right, but people who just spent money and were in denial couldn't come to terms with it.

RE4 Remake and the Original RE4 are both great games. But they're so different from one another that I reached a point where I consider the remake an entirely different game (duh), and if I had to compare both I'd still pick the original because the gameplay is a lot more fun.
