Sweet Baby Inc. (THIS IS A REDFLAG)

There is a company that is responsible for diversity in games and thus transforming what should be entertainment into identity political propaganda.
Sweet Baby Inc. has several games with distorted and dubious stories on its CV. Among the list of games, some caught my attention:
God of War 2, Gotham Knights, Spider-Man 2, Alan Wake 2 and now Suicide Squad.
Some of these games have something in common: They have scriptwriters who left out the game's straight white male protagonists to highlight and give the lead to another character from a minority group.
All of these games have good gameplay, but the story of the game as a sequel has suffered a major downgrade compared to its predecessors.
In AW2 we started playing with the guy who gives the franchise its name only after almost 3 hours of gameplay. Until then, the protagonist is a black woman who never appeared in the first game. And guess what... Saga Anderson is a character that exists in Quantum Break... she is blonde.
The victim in Gotham Knights is Robin (Tim Drake), who in the Arkham trilogy had a relationship with Batgirl. But in Gotham Knights they turned the character gay.
SM2 is so bad that it made Mary Jane stronger than Peter Parker. It's at this level of absurdity. And this all comes from the company "Sweet Baby Inc".

So yes, I'm already expecting the worst of Suicide Squad. Combining all this with the fact that the game embraces the "Live Service Game" model + the horrible gameplays we've seen so far. Yeah...

Edit(1): It has now been confirmed that Harley Quinn had a relationship with Poison Ivy... and now Poison Ivy is a child in this game....... A CHILD. "Groomer Quinn"??
If this isn't a huge red flag, I don't know anything else.

Another thing they confirmed... the Suicide Squad literally KILLS all the members of the Justice League who are being dominated by Brainiac.
Yep. We have, for so long, asked for a Superman game. And they give us a game to kill Superman. JEEZ! How someone can throw away an opportunity to make money like that is beyond me.

I am all for not butchering the quality of these stories for the sake of inclusiveness, but I think it is possible to be more inclusive while respecting the source material, at least occasionally. From what I hear, Alan Wake does not suffer on account of the presence of a new lead, black or white. I didn't know that they nerfed Peter and buffed MJ, sounds lame, does she have her own skill tree etc, and are we playing as her while fighting multiple goons in CQC, because that is jumping the shark. All in all, in my opinion, you definitely make some good points, but also come off as a bit alarmist.

For them it is impossible to have both things at the same time. For the simple fact that they don't know how to create anything without destroying what we, fans of the original material, like. The progressive agenda is naturally against everything that was good in comics. Just look at what they did in Gotham Knights. It's not enough for Robin to turn gay out of nowhere. They needed to kill Batman. The old one has to die to make way for this pile of crap they try to create.
Look what they did with Spider-Man 2... Peter Parker became a secondary character in the game itself. Even Mary Sue Jane is stronger than him! And I'm not even kidding! That's the level of absurdity.
Alan Wake 2, which has that name just to sell the product, but in fact it should be called Saga "race swapped" Anderson.
Anyway, among many other games...
And when it flops or is criticized in some way, they blame us and call us phobic.

In defense of Gotham Knights, that game has more to do with the comic where Tim Drake is actually gay, as opposed to the Arkham series which the developer has stated multiple times
Gotham Knights has nothing to do with.

But yeah, the Mary Jane sections in Spider-Man 2 are ridiculous. It's like the developers heard the complaints about playing her in the first game and decided to double down in the sequel as a power troll move.

So I'm going to preface this with not having any intention to defend pre-packaged watered down live service casinos with occasional game mechanics.

But have you stopped to reflect on maybe you're getting older and not the primary demographic game companies want to appeal to?

Anita Sarkeesian actually had a lot of valid points about how gaming as a media needs to advance to be recognized as an art form and how being desensitized by problematic media actually does affect you as a person. Gamers™️ further proved her point by responding to her invitation to have an open dialogue about the topic with death threats and a year long slander campaign.

Might be time to grow up instead of just growing old. Other people play and enjoy games than just you.
