This has got to be the most annoying thing ever and the fact that in order to solve it you need to spend THOUSANDS is brutal and unfair especially when the game doesn't help you grow with the amount of money that you get!
Either lower the cost to get rid of this issue or remove it completely

Absolutely none! The solution is 3k to the upgrade for the cleaning droid or having to constantly go back and forth and remove it yourself. It's a stupid mechanic altogether.
It's annoying !

I used to pick it up all the time until I didn't care anymore and just collected leftover clothes at the end of the day. cost me a few bucks, due to the clothes occupying the machine, but eh, not worth the constant hassle.

And as mentioned, later you can upgrade the robot to do it for you.

What i do was,
At the start of new day, i spend all the money on coin machine lvl 7, until you get the full room, you will get money pretty fast.
With the room upgrade, i get 64 coin machine, i get 322 clients and 942k
Coin machine lvl 7, wont break, leave clothes, bombs. and its fast.
Its so easy to make money

The most expensive coin washers don't seem to break down, have stuck customers or left behind clothing at all.
