Sustainablity of Resources
I am curious about the issue of sustainability with respect to the commodites in the Game.

i.e If I build an ore mine will it eventually run out of ore? Or is it producing throughout the game time?

I get the impression that it might be something good to know about, since it will have an influence on how you plan your countries future.

Also, if a plant has a max possible output of lets say 40000 ton what will make it produce it's max output? I read about the supply issue and infrastructure issue. improving output and you obviously need a good location with ore ect, I did all that but never seem to get near the max output. My thought was to build less and output more, reducing maint cost, and have less to protect ect., as well as the initial out of pocket cost savings. Need that money later to build that State of the Art Nuclear Weapons Factory...

Thx for the Help..

all facilitys you can build are producing for ever, sometimes there isnt 100% output, because may you dont need 100% or you dont have ressources for max or to save money.

having enough supply is always good not just for ressources.

if you want money: produce, more than you need for yourself, and sell it.

my main issue with it during the latter stages of a war, or when war has finished, my economy tanks....for some reason, my production mostly just stops and i go in the red even if i started off with massive reserves of material and cash.... i'll put most of my army into reserve as i would be fighting only a small war at that time, as the enemy has very little manafacturing capacity to replace what i destroy...how ever, still, most of my economy decides to just stop making stuff.....

Have you checked out the economy guide that was posted? Facility maintenance can be a financial burden at times, consider not just deactivating but scrapping facilities if an industries is multiple times larger than needed.

Resource depletion has been considered but is not a feature of the game at this time.

Link to the economy guide?

Also is it okay to build facilities in hexs that aren't as dark red. Dark red hexs means more likely to get a better output? If you were mining ore persay?

The guides are accessible from the Guides tab at the top of this section.

The map filter for commodity shows how dense the resource deposit is. Higher density will allow more facilities of the relevant type to be built but has no impact on output. You might get two facilities on a low (light) concentration before it won't build any further where a high (dark) concentration would support all 6 nodes of that facility type.
