I am not sure, but I think you can't repair air vehicles on air-FIELDS. Only on AirBASES.

Air bases can hold more planes than airfields. I think Airfields can hold like 10 and Air bases can hold like 15

Airbases also provide significantly more supply to the area over air fields. Same thing with the sea port and sea pier

yea airfields hold less units than an airbase, and airbases allow for air production facilities to be built on the same military post hex
