Specs only get you so far with this game. You need to do things to keep speed high such as disabling the weather and scrapping some of your outdated units when you no longer need them.

is that all? any more tips/solutions?

The major issue is number of units under AI control. The more you have the more the game struggles. I personally generally never have more than 1000 units total in my military. But I also do not use the AI to control them.

Not allowing the larger nations to amass huge armies can help also. You need to get in there and thin them out if you are playing a long term game. Any chance you have to kill off units, via direct or indirect (Proxy) attacks, take it.

You have to consider, in the modern games there are around 190 or more individual nations. All of the other units on the map are AI controlled, not just the nation you are playing.

This is why I can't play anything past WW2 era or Cold war at a push for a few years, the game just acts sluggish and it makes it unplayable as the games go on, I tried a game as Denmark in the 2018 Sandbox it was unplayable.

Typically I don't find the game ever gets "unplayable" but sometimes you need play for a while later on. There is slowdown the longer you go, but if you start with all no starting units and conquer other nations often, things don't get so bad. I've likely just become desensitized to the game when it does slow a bit, but it's not as bad as it may seem.

The issue with that it takes away the reality aspect with the given era sandbox, I can't do the Trump Rising 2018 sandbox as the days stutter average of 40 seconds from the start of the game for a day to complete on normal speed and an average of 14 secs for a day to complete on fastest speed, this starting as mexico zooming into the map and sitting idle...

I love this game don't get me wrong but it kinda limits my enjoyment.

Your specs indicate you have two GPUs on your system, an integrated Intel graphics and an nVidia GPU. Is the game using the integrated graphics and ignoring your Nvidia GPU?

I haven't had any slow down issues unless I put speed to fastest and try to give multiple orders quickly. That's on my laptop with AMD integrated graphics. Your processor and nVidia card put my AMD laptop to shame. You shouldn't be having slow downs with your specs.
