Every day of being logged to the game, you earn 1 coin.
You can win coins by winning special games which give rewards (for example tournaments, sponsored games and so on)

I think you can download Medieval Europe for free too.

seeing as you get 1 coin for logging in, and a undefined amount for winning specific games (where only one, or a few walks away with any coins), its kinda misleading to say that you can unlock all content without paying a dime

it would take over a year to get 1 map, with just 1 coin for logging in

No one's unlocking maps without paying for them unless you go hard into seeking and winning sponsored matches.

The one coin a day thing is a joke at best so don't count on it, I think each coin is worth like a penny and the cheapest maps are at 4 bucks so it'd take over a year to get one map, almost two years for the more expensive maps.
yeah, its kinda stupid. it really pisses me off, but atleast these 2 maps we have for free are fine

Travis will add some sponsored games with e.g. 1000 coins earnings for the winner! Winner can then get the maps for free.

which still brings us back to the basic problem, 1 person will win that, while the other 99.9 % will still be stuck with 1 coin per day for login

and yes, im aware there will be more than 1 game, but it still leaves the large majority with that 1 coin problem

I would say there are more like 1-3% of those winners and yeah, still a bit few, but the devs got to get money from something. Or is it a dev?

I think you'll need to buy the other maps with ingame coins ....and then after the purches you'll be able to download from there :steamhappy:

i dont thnik its a good game strategy to do give players one a day. pretty much it just pisses them off. i think u should add the maps for free and just add a donate button or something.
noblemaster  [developer] Apr 12, 2016 @ 8:45pm
Providing a donate button feels a lot like a charity. You basically pay but get nothing at all from me/us. I don't have to do anything; it feels wrong. Also, in the end, how would that be any different than just purchasing the maps right away? If you think about it, in the end is just a matter of wording: "donate" vs. "purchase".

Also, given all the comments in this thread nobody appears interested in supporting the project via purchases, so I can't quite see anyone being willing to donate either.
