Confusing and unhelpful game.
To say that this game is less than I expected would be an understatement. First you spend a senseless (and seemingly inexplicable)"tutorial" doing meaningless tasks (wander around an escher-bach-like maze killing monsters and finding chests, none of which help you at all.) until you "escape" the labyrinth, only to be railroaded into a very convoluted and yet somehow completely linear story where you end up under equipped (because you have no real money and nothing to buy with what little you have), and vastly outnumbered (by fellows quite hale and hearty and who deal quite a bit more damage per hit than any of your people) and are expected to somehow "escape" along a very long battlefield where enemies approach from all sides near including the exits and standing to fight is just tantamount death. I do not understand the point of this. Not only that but the various places one might expect aid in understanding this "game" seem to be perplexingly lacking in any kind of useful guidance. Is this merely a big joke game? Alas the reviews did not specify it thusly. Henceforth I shall seek to remedy that slightly at least.

(Yes my language is intentionally tongue in cheek but man, this game is not good or I am missing something essential.)

Round 1
Send Cassia to the bottom chest. Send Zurbaran the same way as far as possible so he can cast the lvl 2 block at the bridge and fully block it.
Takate go to the the trip wire field not behind the trip wire.
Naurim go to the top.
Round 2
Cassia take the chest and go at the bottom to the next chest (destroy a box to get their).
Zurbaran and Takate takes the upper way (mid with the other trip wire) Heal Naurim if needed.
Naurim goes to the chest and destroy the stone trap.
From here Takate runs to the upper chest and ignore everything else.
Naurim and Zurbaran go to the chest there Cassio is going.
Wait there with all 3 of them till all enemys from the right side of the bridge crossed it.
The run to the exit and block with Zurbaran the bridge (use the spell not Zur).
Takate takes the chest and destroys the last stone trape.
Block the bridge with Zurbaran till the bridge is down and thats it.

Edit:
Learn lvl 4 Corpofesso, Axxeleratus, Ecliptifactus with Zurbaran it will make 1 battle later a lot easier but it will be still hard

With this tactic you will make nearly all battle very easy
Learn lvl 4 Corpofesso with Cassia and Zurbaran and give them enough ap to use it 2 times.
Use it 4 times and everything on the map is dead.
You can win many maps in round 2

Yeah there are some battles that are pretty hard like the first 2 after you escape. If you build wrong or dont know what to do they are nearly impossible to win.

Are you talking about the battle after you get Naurim? Dont fight there just run to the exit and block them with spells/traps.
Here is a walkthrough for this mission. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUNNkGlMNWY

Yeah I used the mage's block spells but ran out of spell ap too quickly.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

That's very helpful thanks. Not sure if I am going to fire it up again any time soon but this kind of advice should help anyone stuck like I am.

Did you mean Corpofrigo (cold shock)? Corpofesso (aching limbs) just reduces endurance and speed.

I feel exactly the same way.

Super disappointed that at the very beginning of the game they make it so hard that you basically need to play over and over again and try random strategies to escape with Naurim, or need a walkthrough from people who must have had a ton of patience to finally randomly luck in to a winning strategy.

The beginning of a game should not be this hard.

What a waste. I'm definitely not going to be bothering with this game if even the beginning is so hard, borderline pointless, and linear.
