Local Co-Op?
The game says it has multiplayer and co-op, and full controller support. Does it have Local Co-Op

Those 2d games always support local co-op. The question is, does it really support online co-op?

It seems we're both interested in an official answer then. What kind of Co-Op will this game support?

Show the world how Mighty you are in the 2 Player Online Race Battle where you compete online, racing through each stage together in a head to head battle - adding an all new twist on versus mode play that will give Mighty No. 9 life well beyond the single-player campaign!

2 Player Online Co-Op Challenge Mode: take on over a dozen missions online with a friend, playing as Beck and his partner, Call! Use Beck and Call’s different powers together in order to defeat these special challenges!

Read the damn store page before asking questions.

I see that it says there is online co-op, but is there local co-op? If not, why not? Why have online co-op and no local co-op? Makes no sense unless maybe the design of the game makes that impossible.

I found this - https://twitter.com/mightyno9/status/377115893831987200

'Sadly, no. Offline co-op would require some zoom-out/splitscreen feature we don't have in the current plan (for cost reasons)'

That's unfortunate. I can see zoom out being a problem since things off camera can get wonky but split screen shouldn't be all that hard to do and shouldn't carry much of anything in the way of costs. I guess maybe there could be some specific issue with that engine, or maybe it's more of a system hog than it looks.

I'm just so tired of PC gamers having to force artificial split screen by multiboxxing, it's vastly inferior to real split screen support.
