Just go play some old megaman games and yes, you will die just because you did not know what to expect. Just finished Megaman 3,4,5,6 and 7. Those games do have some unfair moments. But when you have died enough times, you will get past them.
I think this was a wonderful game, had nice voice acting and made me feel like a kid again, in a good way. This game somehow reminded me of the saturday morning cartoons.
I enjoyed the game a lot. Perfect game? No. But way better what reviews tell us.
Just put a announce of Mighty 9 II project and already get all Mega Man fans making extreme bad reviews about this game.
I don't want to create confusion, but I think Mega Man is already dead by stopped story progress while Mighty 9 still a great potential to evolve. For example they could remove the infinite air dash and put a super buster because Beck would need more power to defeat new strong enemies.
Also, if they brought it back, they should make it like Mighty Gunvolt Burst. That game used Beck, enemies, bosses, and stages from Mighty No. 9, and that game got great reviews. It showed a lot could be done with the IP if done right.
Of course my dream scenario would be a new Mighty No. 9 game with the concept art they used at the beginning of the project. The screenshot of a game that could of had gorgeous graphics. https://www.ign.com/wikis/mighty-number-9/Concept_Art#Factory
I'll give you that, I liked Mighty Gunvolt Burst.
It was a good game, and quite the carthasis factor for me.
I went through it saying "Ahh... now this is what MN9 should've been like." (Although I refused to use Beck)
But no, I say MN9 had its chance, and blew it.
Comcept is gone/absorbed, and Inafune doesn't make games anymore.
...They'd have one heck of a task to sell a sequel, even with a new producer/director.
Admittedly, it could work (especially on emphasizing that it has new developers, and that Inafune is off the project)
...but boy, they'd be betting a ton of money on something that likely won't sell.
Level-5 won't take that kind of a gamble.
Yeah, guess who's working on Gunvolt 3?
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2182410010 And by the way, he was working with a (now shutdown) mobile game with Level-5 for the past few years before getting back to working on a action game with Inti Creates again.
Mighty No. 9 is Inafune's IP, so fat chance a butthurt Inafune hater like you is gonna have that happen should a true sequel happen.
