yes, your profile is at risk. Unless you launch the game through the Hook Line and Sinker mod manager, it auto back ups your saves all the time just in case.

He's sending modified mail to players in lobbies that glitch out your save and cause the game to no longer be able to read it. And as of today he's now flooding the public lobby list with spoofed steam names he's scraping to do this to more people. It's 1 guy but it's 1 very vindictive guy.

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. How does one prove they now LACK a save file?

Still, testimony would be appreciated as I have seen few, if any, cases where someone says "I was personally hacked by grincher and lost everything". In fact, the last bit of "evidence" I saw was a YouTube video that only showed him appearing in a server despite the title implying that deletion of their save was imminent. It wasn't very convincing that grincher was an outright threat, but it still got a lot of attention and spread the idea that his actions are dangerous. Point being, even if those who were wronged by grincher feel they are in the right, it is vital that more concrete evidence is provided so that something constructive can be done in the end.

To clarify, that's not the only thing he does, but at the very least I've never witnessed him actually crash a lobby at all save for a "Watching D&D server"... which didn't really seem "insane" to me. Regardless, he definitely does other stuff, or at least someone working with his name does. At the time of posting, a plethora of servers available to me are "GrinchersFunRoomGrinchersFunRoomGrinchersFun".

I don't know if this is useful, but:
Yesterday, I logged into a lobby and there was only another person with me, I looked his nick and it was the grincher.
Knowing about him I exited rapidly, save + exit to desktop.
I usually do clips with nvidia geforce and did a clip of that encounter to show a friend.
When I went to see the clip, everything is normal until I entered in the game with him, then EVERYTHING glitches in the video... and goes back to normal when I exit the game.

Anyway, when I logged back, my save was there. But I have never seen a glitch like that in my clips before...
