who is "Grincher"?

my ENTIRE lobby list is full of lobbies titled "Grincher's Happy Room" with only one person on most of them. I've come across this "Grincher" person before. was chilling in a lobby full of trans people when this Grincher joins the lobby, doesn't say anything doesn't even move their avatar, and then in the top left corner a bunch of "a player has been banned from this lobby" (or smth along those lines) pops up although no one was actually kicked/removed. the owner of the lobby didn't know what it was about and we immediately started assuming it was a troll or hacker.
just super curious if anyone else has encountered Grincher because it's kinda weird

It started with someone called grincher who would join lobbies and somehow manage to corrupt people's games or smth.
Now there is this presumed copy of grincher that has somehow hacked themselves unbannable and unkickable and just... lurks, invisible, silent, and usually eventually just leaves when ignored.
They don't do anything but manage to get into any lobby that isn't solo or friends-only. Still off-putting.

I've not encountered them but according to the webfishing subreddit, they're a hacker who's notorious for messing with peoples' saves. Don't go into those rooms. Apparently Grincher is even capable of entering peoples' offline lobbies, so if that happens, just close the lobby immediately

yeesh yeah. luckily I haven't had anything corrupted yet but I've encountered them a few times now. hopefully it gets sorted out soon, I just wanna fish and chat with peeps without worrying about all my save data being corrupted/deleted :(

relieved to know im not the only person having the lobby issue right now, but it sucks this is happening.
grincher is an exploiter who can brick saves. i havent had that happen but ive heard it being discussed. he joined a lobby earlier tho and me and a friend kept getting an error spammed in the top left corner of our screens that said 'lost connection to player' or something. so i see the server list tweak out, and obviously that was immediately worrying. seems fine though.

Mine is full of "Grincher's Fun Lobby" and "Fman_122's Evil Lobby". And every time I reload it feels like there's somehow more of them.

Is this why my game will suddenly spike to over 500% disk usage whenever it's being launched sometimes??
