Can't launch game

The game literally refuses to open, it'll act like its launching, the logo will pop up and it quits

Go to file location of Webfishing and check to see if there is a file named something like "winn.dll" (might not be exactly that but very similar) if that file is there delete it. I was having the same issue and deleting that file fixed it. But create a backup of your webfishing data just incase it messes up the game and you have to redownload but it shouldnt mess it up because its a file that is injected by a 3rd party like Thunderstore mod manager.

Reinstall dotnet 9 for old dotnet 8. Also restarting steam again helps. I read this from crash logs

none yet lol, two replies weve gotten are confusing as ♥♥♥♥ and entirely useless.

Try restarting steam. It sounds dumb, but it's what solved my issue. None of the mucking about in system files that has been previously suggested helped in my personal experience.

So I play with mods usually and following the earlier step of removing the winmm.dll did allow my game to launch again, but now none of my mods work in game. At least my game works again, currently trying to troubleshoot the mod program.
