Isn't it already? I'm on a Linux desktop and it runs perfect with Proton Experimental, so shouldn't be any different with the Deck.

You can check the compatibility reports on ProtonDB, and Webfishing has Platinum ranking: https://www.protondb.com/app/3146520

So? The Steam Deck is quite literally designed to be controller compatible with nearly anything. You manually set the binds for each game, so just set the D-Pad to behave as W, A, S and D in Webfishing. Set A as left click, bind right click and mouse movement to a joystick, etc.

The Steam Deck provides the necessary medium to convert controller inputs into M&K inputs that Webfishing will recognize.

For anyone unfamiliar, on your Steam Deck library, go to Webfishing, just click the cog (Settings) icon next to the PLAY button, and setup custom controls. Or alternatively, click the menu button while in-game and go to the Controls tab.
