How rare is the golden bass?

I'm 100 minutes in and I caught one using crickets? I assume its rare because of the title, unless its just a joke title?

It is very rare, but it is consistently rare and has the same catch rate, unless you are using worms (in which case you cannot catch it), or the Golden Hook (in which case you are four times as likely to catch it, though it is still very rare)
