Leedsichthys catching advice???

Trying to grind out the normal rod but really having trouble with this one. Besides needing to be in the rain, am I best with golden lure and worms to guarentee a normal tier catch or can anyone give any tips for getting that specifically? Just wanna be sure if Im grinding that I'm going about it right if any of you have been lucky enough to catch one. Thanks!!!~

The fish is a tier 3, so unless something is wonky you'll need crickets+ to catch it at normal quality. Given it's considered a rare fish, the golden lure in the rain is still your best bet.

i farmed for a bit for this one too, although i dont remember if i did use golden hook or not (it didnt really work for me? i just used sparkling most of the time for high tier fish)
no real tips aside from just watch out for rains, max out your bait (so you can spend more time standing & fishing), dont forget to change the lure & pray to fish rng
also used crickets as well
