anybody else seen this "null" guy?

a couple times while playing in friend only or code only servers, the chat says "has left the game, null has joined the game". Although, nobody is shown on the player list or on the map. Along with this, he just does nothing. Is it just another fear mongering tactic or does it do something worse?

"null" is also what the lack of an expected object (Such as a name) displays as,
so this is not the pseudonym of the new Scourge of Webfishing, it's probably just one of these hackers hiding their name.

The whole forum insists that these hackers are all harmless, but I'd rather not play with them.

Webfishing Airlines just said Hi to everyone in our lobby and dropped all our server locations in chat and crashed the game so- not so harmless??

Like I said, I wouldn't want to play with them, but every time you complain about the hackers, for some reason a whole squad of people shows up who go "It's all fearmongering, they can't really do anything, they just join and leave after a while, leaking your IP isn't a big deal".

And I mean yeah, in many cases exposing your IP only gives someone your rough location with an accuracy of like 50km.

yeah first time air traffic control joined my game i did a code only lobby, i kicked him, but nothing happend. later that night null joind too, but they both disappeared instnatly, in the player list htey were gone too, that's why i only start friends only lobbies :/
