Sometimes people like to give more like on itchio.io you can choose to add more money when you buy something

Whilst I do agree with the sentiment that the game could do with some security patches, I may have to consider throwing some extra money/some other form of support their way. They've been dealing with a lot lately and could do with a morale boost.

The game is only $5, nothing wrong with showing additional support past the bare minimum

like what the class calico said i think its more of a morale boost than a monetary incentive

The game has sold so many copies that the developer has essentially unlimited funding. It's generous for you to consider supporting them, but I highly doubt that it would be necessary/meaningful. It's up to them now to make improvements.

"unlimited" is quite a word

Well... unlimited relative to the costs associated with developing as a solo developer, and also to any amount that could be realistically donated. I don't mean to dissuade any support to them, but I just intended on putting it into perspective.

i would say he probably has a patreon or those buy me a coffee links but he said he was going to be inactive for a while; for now try and see if you can buy games off of itch.io since they allow you to add money to support the creator when buying a free game
